Most Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Can I use my old analog cameras with the new digital multiplexer?

Answer:
Yes, you can use all existing cameras with the new digital system, including covert cameras.

2. Can I use a RF video transmitter with the digital system?

Answer: Yes, the receiver plugs into the back of the multiplexer and records to the hard drive.

3. Do I have to run new cable for the digital system?

Answer: No, the existing video cable will work just fine.

4. How many cameras can I run on a digital system?

Answer: 256 per system. Multiplexers are available in 4- , 9- , and 16- channels. Up to 16 multiplexers can be stacked to accommodate up to 256 cameras, and they all function as one unit. If more cameras were needed, another separate system could be installed to accommodate another 256 cameras.

Answer: The multiplexer has a throttle, allowing you to adjust it to your preference to avoid overloading your network system.

6. Can I use this digital system for covert camera installations?

Answer: Yes. Covert cameras can be added to the system, without the knowledge of anyone at the local facility.

7. Is my information still protected by my firewall if I use this system on my network?

Answer: Yes. If you install it behind the firewall, it is extended the same protection as other software.
